Who is this course designed for?

This course is designed for anyone (minimum two year Yoga practice) that has a serious interest in Partner Yoga. This includes Yoga and academic teachers, Therapists of couples and individuals, healers and bodyworkers, couples who are interested in a home practice or teaching together, among others. Partner Yoga is a creative art that can be used in many ways. The course will provide ideas, skills and techniques and it is up to the individual to apply these tools however they are inspired to.

Will I receive a certification from attending this course?

You will receive a certificate of completion upon completing either the fifty or sixty hours of training. One portion of the training will require teaching the techniques in your community and submitting feedback response from yourself and your students.

Will I be able to use the training hours as continuing education credits?

Yes, Elysabeth has received accreditation through the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500, Experienced- Registered Yoga Instructor.

What are the pre-requisites for taking the training?

All participants need to have a 2 year minimum of Yoga practice and a general understanding of Yoga postures and philosophy. You also need to read 'The Pleasures and Principles of Partner Yoga' and be ready to teach one practice from the book coming into the training.

Where will the training take place?

The dates for the next training are March 21 -25 through Sundance Yoga Studios. There is support for lodging  to stay with local participants or local hotels. In May there will be a residential training at The Shambhala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lake, CO. Registration for this training is handled directly through the center. All applications are accepted through the online application here.

9AM - 1PM Lunch and Break 3PM - 5PM Break 6:30 PM - 9:30PM (Public workshop included)

Note: Additonal hours include designing and presenting  a public Partner Yoga workshop. Self and participant feedback forms will need to be submitted to receive certificate.
