Could you tell me more about the accommodations?
Shonshoni Yoga Retreat Center is one the premier Yoga Centers in the country. It is located on 250 acres of prestine Rocky Mountain terrain surrounded on all sides by National forest. There are a variety of beautiful, sacred temples at the center that are deeply imbued with the rich and nourishing energy that comes from many years of Yoga and meditation practice.
Could you tell me more about the food?
The Shoshoni kitchen is, in many ways, the heart of Shoshoni. Central to the kitchen is a shiny stove with two large ovens surrounded by giant, stainless steel pots, pans, cast iron skillets, and hanging spoons and ladles. Five-gallon buckets overflow with various beans, grains, and colorful fresh vegetables. Quart jars brim with aromatic spices and herbs.
The Shoshoni staff work together to prepare scrumptious vegetarian and vegan meals. Many great cooks have contributed time and wonderful recipes to our collection of meals. People have been requesting our vegetarian recipes for years. They ask “What makes the food so good?” “What did you put in this?” “How can vegetarian food taste so good?“ The cooks always look at each other and smile. They know that what is in the food can't be bought at the store. The magic ingredient we put into every dish is shakti, or meditative energy.
We can accommodate specific dietary requests.
Do I need to pay for lodging if I live locally?
No. And I highly recommend staying at the Retreat Center if at all possible. The training will begin at 6:10AM and go until 9PM with a three hour break for restoration and integration. Shoshoni is offering a generous rates on a range of accomodations including camp sites, dorms and private cabins.
Will there be transportation/directions to Shoshoni Yoga Retreat Center available?
Yes, for those coming from out of state and country. You will receive this information prior to the training.
